Job Description

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python and Java/Scala
  • Design and enhance data analytic platforms for business use
  • Work with relational databases such as Snowflake, Teradata, Sybase, and DB2
  • Write and optimise SQL queries for large-scale data processing
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate data requirements
  • Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in Linux environments
  • Contribute to software development for data-driven applications (light focus)
  • Participate in production support and issue resolution

The Successful Applicant

  • senior level of experience in data engineering, analytic, or software development
  • Solid programming skills in Python and/or Java/Scala, with a practical, hands-on approach (deep expertise not required)
  • Strong SQL capabilities and experience working with relational databases such as Snowflake, Teradata, Sybase, or DB2
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments for deployment, troubleshooting, and system operations
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex datasets and translate them into actionable insights
  • A problem-solver mindset with the ability to work independently and in collaborative teams
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment
  • Language skills: Business-level English and Japanese (N3+ or above)
