You will lead and mentor a data engineering team, act as the key partner to Japan stakeholders, and influence the global data strategy through close collaboration with international teams.

Job Description

Own and evolve a regional data platform, ensuring high reliability, performance, data quality, and strong governance standards.

Lead the design and delivery of scalable data pipelines, data models, and API‑driven integrations aligned to business needs.

Partner closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable data solutions and clearly communicate platform outcomes.

Manage and develop a distributed data engineering team, setting best practices, driving delivery excellence, and mentoring talent.

The Successful Applicant

  • The successful applicant will be a senior data engineering professional with strong technical expertise and proven leadership experience in complex, enterprise‑scale environments. You bring the ability to combine hands‑on technical depth with strategic thinking, effectively translating business needs into high‑quality, scalable data solutions.
  • You are an excellent communicator who can build trust with stakeholders and lead distributed teams across regions and cultures. Business‑level Japanese and business‑level English are required, as the role involves daily collaboration with local business teams, offshore engineers, and global partners.
