Job Description

  • Lead the design and delivery of Java-based software solutions for business requirements.
  • Review technical approaches and code to promote clear, maintainable application development.
  • Set technical direction for assigned development work and help keep delivery plans on track.
  • Work with Technology colleagues to clarify requirements and turn them into practical technical solutions.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues to maintain reliable application performance.
  • Improve existing Java applications through structured analysis, development and testing.
  • Document technical decisions, system changes and development practices for consistent delivery.
  • Contribute to release activities by preparing software changes for deployment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Technical Lead Java ' should have:

  • Strong practical capability in Java application design and development.
  • Experience reviewing code and applying sound software development practices.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and solutions.
  • Capability to investigate application issues and deliver effective fixes.
  • Experience improving existing software through testing, analysis and development.
  • Ability to create clear technical documentation for systems and software changes.
