Job Description

  • Lead the design, development, and operation of backend services and APIs that support critical e-commerce checkout and merchant-facing systems.
  • Drive technical decision-making, architecture improvements, and resolution of complex engineering challenges across multiple projects.
  • Partner with engineering teams, product stakeholders, and business leaders to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions.
  • Ensure operational excellence through incident management, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous service improvement.

The Successful Applicant

  • 10+ years of Java development experience, including expertise in large-scale web applications and RESTful API development.
  • Proven technical leadership experience with ownership of architecture decisions, production systems, and engineering best practices.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes, system operations, scalability, and service reliability.
  • Excellent English communication skills with the ability to collaborate globally and influence both technical and business stakeholders.
