About Our Client

Our client is a large multinational consumer brand organisation with a strong international presence. As part of its ongoing investment in digital and data capabilities, the company is expanding its regional data engineering function to support strategic growth initiatives.

Job Description

  • Architect and support scalable cloud-native data platforms across regional markets.
  • Design and optimise automated data pipelines to enable analytics and business-critical operations.
  • Oversee platform governance, including CI/CD processes, source control, environment management, and deployment standards.
  • Define and implement best practices for data architecture, modelling, security, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Own and enhance internal data products, ensuring data quality, reliability, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with local and global stakeholders to deliver data solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant

  • 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering
  • Team Leadership experience
  • Strong expertise in ANSI SQL (DDL, DML, DCL)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Snowflake
  • Business-level English communication skills
  • Conversational Japanese or above
