Job Description



  • End-to-End Tax & Accounting Compliance: You will lead the day-to-day operations for VAT (consumption tax), corporate income tax, and withholding tax. This includes preparing data for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and collaborating closely with external tax consultants to ensure all statutory filings are accurate and on time.


  • Operational Finance Management: You will manage the full cycle of vendor and supplier payments using tools like COUPA, oversee banking activities (deposits, interest, and fees), and maintain critical master data within the ERP system (QAD/SAP) to ensure operational consistency.


  • Internal Controls & Reporting: Beyond the desk work, you will support internal and statutory audits, participate in biannual physical inventory counts at warehouses, and handle accounting tasks related to raw material pricing and new registrations.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate is a hands‑on accounting and tax professional with strong experience in local Japanese accounting operations. They can independently manage routine accounting and tax processes, support monthly and annual closings, and work accurately within a structured environment. They communicate fluently in Japanese, have practical English skills, and collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external advisors.
