Job Description

  • Monitor and maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure automation tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system architecture.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices for system security and compliance.
  • Optimize system scalability and resource allocation.
  • Document processes and prepare technical reports as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent system concerns.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field, including hands-on DevOps or SRE responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise administering Databricks at enterprise scale, including workspace management, cluster policies, Unity Catalog, job orchestration, and governance.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and services such as IAM, networking, object storage, and cloud cost management.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and building automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python and/or Bash/Shell.
  • Solid understanding of security best practices, including RBAC, secrets management, network isolation, and audit logging.
  • Experience implementing observability, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and SRE best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, analytics, security, and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and automation.
