This role is responsible for developing and maintaining modern web applications across both frontend and backend systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, test, deploy, and support scalable applications while leveraging AI tools and techniques throughout the development lifecycle.

Job Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications using React.
  • Build scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Integrate frontend and backend systems to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Utilise AI-assisted development tools and techniques to improve productivity and software quality.
  • Write clean, efficient, secure, and well-tested code.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile development ceremonies.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and support ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and fellow developers.
  • Contribute to the design, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of applications.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5 years of full-stack software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Professional experience with React and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience working with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
  • Experience with unit testing.
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively apply AI tools and techniques within software development processes.
