Job Description

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based payment systems and APIs
  • Contribute to scalable, secure microservices architecture
  • Build and support full-stack features using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver business-aligned solutions
  • Optimize performance and resolve system bottlenecks in high-traffic environments
  • Integrate third-party APIs with focus on security and reliability
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards
  • Contribute to technical documentation and best practices
  • Support continuous improvement and adoption of modern development tools and methods

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer (full-stack preferred)
  • Strong Java expertise with Spring Boot / Spring Framework
  • Solid front-end skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Experience with SQL and backend system design
  • Hands-on experience building microservices and RESTful APIs
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and system performance optimization
  • Familiar with Git and Agile development methodologies
  • Strong communication skills in English (business level or above)
  • Must currently reside in Japan OR hold a valid Japanese work visa



Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
  • Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes
  • Exposure to AI coding tools or prompt engineering
  • Experience with monitoring, tracing, and testing frameworks
  • Background in e-commerce or payment systems
