Our client is a leading large-scale consumer internet and e-commerce platform operating at national scale in Japan. The organization delivers services to tens of millions of users and is known for its complex, high-traffic systems and strong engineering culture.

Job Description

  • Act as a core project member for new and existing front-end features, covering design, development, testing, and release
  • Lead technical decision-making for high-traffic web systems, including architecture and performance optimization
  • Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable front-end code
  • Monitor production services, troubleshoot issues, and drive root-cause analysis and improvements
  • Refactor existing systems and introduce appropriate technologies, architectures, and tooling
  • Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders across teams



The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience of technical lead experience on high-traffic web systems
  • Front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with React, Redux, and TypeScript
  • Strong experience designing front-end architecture from scratch (components, state management, performance, UX, CDN usage)
  • Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and E2E testing
  • Proficiency with JavaScript testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, WDIO, Intern)
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous and parallel processing (AJAX, Promises, Web Workers, WebSockets)
  • Experience with Web APIs (REST, JSON, CORS)
  • Working knowledge of Linux operations and investigation
  • Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
