Job Description

  • Design, develop, test, and operate data infrastructure and data products that manage and deliver large-scale master data.
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines and batch processing applications using Java, Spring Boot, Apache Beam, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Optimize database performance, data models, and processing workflows to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design, detailed development, troubleshooting, and continuous platform improvements.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering with a strong focus on data platforms and processing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Apache Beam, ETL development, and cloud technologies such as GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
  • Strong knowledge of database design, SQL optimization, performance tuning, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Business-level English skills, conversational Japanese ability, and a collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
