A leading global insurance organization with a strong presence in Japan, undertaking large-scale modernization of core policy administration systems and IBM mainframe environments.

Job Description

  • Lead modernization initiatives (rehost/rebuild) for IBM Mainframe systems
  • Design hybrid architectures integrating mainframe and open systems
  • Enable API connectivity using z/OS Connect and modern integration patterns
  • Act as Technical Lead / Program Manager on large-scale enterprise engagements
  • Manage multiple vendors and coordinate cross-functional global teams
  • Oversee upstream activities including design reviews, root cause analysis (RCA), and risk management
  • Drive holistic, end-to-end delivery across PAS domains (Policy, Claims, Billing)
  • Collaborate with offshore teams and global stakeholders, including IBM partners



The Successful Applicant

  • Extensive experience in insurance Policy Administration Systems (PAS)
  • Proven track record in mainframe modernization (rehost, rebuild, migration)
  • Strong expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies and integration approaches
  • Experience designing hybrid architectures across legacy and modern platforms
  • Demonstrated leadership across complex, multi-vendor transformation programs
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working in global environments with cross-regional teams
  • Business-level Japanese (mandatory) and working English; Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to lead issue resolution, RCA, and risk mitigation end-to-end
