This role is a Technical Product Manager responsible for maximising the value of an API platform.You will lead technical decision-making and stakeholder collaboration to drive sustainable product growth.

By expanding and improving external and internal APIs, the organisation continuously enhances its platform value.

Job Description

  • Define product vision and strategy for the API platform and open API programme
  • Create and maintain API specifications, including contracts and non-functional requirements such as security, availability, and performance
  • Organise existing initiatives and define future product tasks
  • Develop and execute product roadmaps
  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog
  • Communicate with internal and external API users and incorporate feedback into improvements
  • Conduct competitor and market research
  • Define KPIs, analyse performance, and drive operational improvements
  • Coordinate with development, project, security, and other related teams

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of experience in web service product management
  • Strong understanding of API design principles and REST best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including API specifications and architecture diagrams
  • Proven experience writing clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams
  • Ability to identify operational issues and lead service improvements
  • Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese
