Job Description

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans (timeline, dependencies, risks, resources)
  • Facilitate technical feasibility discussions and decision-making
  • Drive alignment across teams on priorities, trade-offs, and approach
  • Bridge business requirements and technical execution
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle from requirements to post-launch stabilisation
  • Manage scope, risks, issues, and dependencies proactively
  • Ensure compliance with security, performance, and regulatory standards
  • Oversee quality practices including testing and code review standards
  • Coordinate releases, rollbacks, and stakeholder communication
  • Support smooth handover to operations and continuous improvement initiatives

The Successful Applicant

  • Business-level Japanese (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of technical project management experience in software delivery
  • Strong technical literacy (architecture understanding, trade-offs)
  • Understanding of AI/LLM-based applications
  • Proven ability to drive consensus without overriding engineering
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Strong risk and issue management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Experience improving project governance and processes
  • Product-oriented mindset with ability to challenge requirements
