Job Description

  • Design, develop, test, and release software solutions aligned with business requirements
  • Develop and maintain critical backend APIs, consumer services, and batch processing systems
  • Support systems responsible for cart data persistence and order data creation
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in high-volume online environments
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA teams, and engineers to deliver reliable solutions
  • Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural and design decisions
  • Drive best practices across code quality, reviews, source control, testing, deployment, and operations
  • Improve system performance, scalability, availability, and maintainability
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the development lifecycle



The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of Java EE development experience as a Full Stack Engineer
  • Strong experience developing and operating RESTful Web APIs
  • Experience supporting large-scale online production systems and handling incidents
  • In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle, including code standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes, testing, deployment, and operations
  • Proven ability to design and develop high-performance, reliable, and maintainable applications
  • Senior-level engineering experience with the ability to lead projects and proactively collaborate with stakeholders
  • Experience developing applications using container technologies such as Docker
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing and developing solutions using RDBMS, KVS, and NoSQL technologies
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Framework
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems using tools such as Grafana
  • Experience leveraging AI technologies to enhance the software development lifecycle
  • Experience in high-traffic e-commerce or internet-scale environments

Language Requirements:

  • Japanese: Not required
  • English: Business communication level (approximately TOEIC 600 equivalent or above)
