Job Description

  • Lead the design and implementation of user-facing features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
  • Develop and maintain modern web applications utilizing SPA, SSR, and SSG architectures
  • Build responsive, high-quality user interfaces using Tailwind CSS
  • Design and implement multilingual features with internationalization (i18n) support
  • Create intuitive and scalable interfaces, including complex forms and workflows
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on API integrations, data flow design, and technical specifications
  • Contribute to backend implementation and enhancements when required
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software quality
  • Drive improvements in application performance, maintainability, security, and developer productivity
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices across the team



The Successful Applicant

  • Proven professional experience building applications with React
  • Strong experience developing with Next.js, including SSR, SSG, and App Router
  • Hands-on experience with TypeScript and type-safe front-end development
  • Experience building user interfaces with Tailwind CSS
  • Understanding of front-end performance optimization and web security fundamentals
  • Experience developing web applications with API integrations
  • Full-stack mindset with willingness and capability to contribute beyond the front end
  • Experience working within collaborative development environments using Git and code review processes
  • Business-level English communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking
  • Daily conversational-level Japanese language ability
  • Currently residing in Japan

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing Progressive Web Applications (PWA)
  • Knowledge of front-end SEO best practices
  • CI/CD pipeline operation and test automation experience
  • Experience with Vitest or similar testing frameworks
  • Experience using TanStack Query for state management and asynchronous data handling
  • Experience with React Hook Form
  • Knowledge of IndexedDB, Dexie, or client-side data storage solutions
  • Backend development experience using Go or similar technologies
  • Experience working within microservices environments
