Job Description

HR Business Partnering

  • Partner closely with plant leadership and key stakeholders
  • Provide strategic and operational HR support to a large manufacturing workforce
  • Support workforce planning, organisational development, and talent initiatives
  • Drive employee engagement and employee relations activities

HR Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations for the site
  • Support labour management matters and manufacturing workforce challenges
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and offboarding activities
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, internal policies, and HR best practices

People Leadership

  • Lead and develop a small HR team
  • Coach and support HR staff and employee wellbeing functions
  • Collaborate with other HR leaders across the organisation

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to site leadership
  • Partner with regional HR leadership and broader HR teams
  • Support local and global HR initiatives and projects

The Successful Applicant

  • Experienced HR professional with background in manufacturing, industrial, or plant-based environments
  • Strong HR Business Partnering and employee relations expertise
  • Experience supporting blue-collar and operational workforces
  • Knowledge of Japanese labour legislation and HR compliance requirements
  • Previous people management experience preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently while partnering with regional and global teams
  • Business-level Japanese and ability to work within an international environment
