Job Description

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable microservices and cloud-native applications.
  • Act as a technical lead for a small engineering team, providing mentorship, guidance, and technical direction.
  • Design and build secure, resilient, and high-performance systems using modern engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers in an Agile development environment.
  • Drive code quality, observability, system reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technology strategy.
  • Support the development of AI-enabled products and innovative digital solutions.
  • Participate in cross-platform and multi-platform application development projects.
  • Ensure successful delivery of complex B2B2C and multi-tenant platform solutions.



The Successful Applicant

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Lead, Team Lead, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong experience leading small engineering teams while remaining hands-on in development.
  • Proven track record delivering scalable B2B2C or multi-tenant platforms.
  • Deep expertise in microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Java 21/25
    • Spring Boot
    • REST APIs
    • TypeScript
    • PostgreSQL
    • AWS (RDS, Cognito, ECS, SQS, SNS, ElastiCache)
    • OAuth2, JWT, and modern security frameworks
    • Resilience and fault-tolerant system design
    • Observability tools such as Grafana and Sentry
  • Business-level communication skills in English. Japanese language skills are not required.
