About Our Client

Our client is a global consulting and technology firm specializing in financial services and insurance transformation. They partner with leading insurers to deliver system implementations and custom software solutions at scale.

Job Description

  • Implement and customize core insurance platforms (e.g., policy administration systems)
  • Develop internal products as part of an R&D-focused engineering team
  • Design system architecture and produce technical documentation
  • Write and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality
  • Collaborate directly with clients within agile project teams
  • Contribute to full-cycle delivery including development, integration, and deployment

The Successful Applicant

  • Must hold a valid work visa for Japan (no visa sponsorship provided)
  • 2+ years of software development experience (Java preferred)
  • Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean code principles
  • Solid knowledge of software engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with tools such as Git, Jenkins, and IntelliJ
  • Familiarity with APIs (SOAP, REST) and relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, etc.)
  • Exposure to enterprise systems (insurance/CRM) is a plus
  • Business-level English (B2+) and Japanese (N2 level)
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Able to work full-time in Tokyo (hybrid environment)
