Job Description

  • Develop and execute system validation plans aligned with project milestones and customer commitments.
  • Define validation strategies based on customer requirements, industry standards, and risk assessments.
  • Analyze system and functional requirements and determine appropriate test approaches.
  • Create functional test plans, test specifications, and support test bench development activities.
  • Design, implement, and execute system-level validation test cases.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain testing environments and validation benches.
  • Conduct validation activities using HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) platforms and related testing tools.
  • Execute automated and manual test scripts and maintain validation documentation and reports.
  • Analyze test results, investigate issues, and perform first-level root cause analysis.
  • Communicate validation outcomes and defects to relevant stakeholders.
  • Expand test coverage through robustness, stress, and real-world usage scenarios.
  • Collaborate closely with software, hardware, integration, and customer-facing teams to ensure quality and delivery objectives are met.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in System Validation, System Testing, Verification & Validation (V&V), or Automotive Testing.
  • Strong practical experience in:
    • Validation planning and execution
    • Test case creation and implementation
    • Test environment setup
    • Test bench operation
    • HIL testing
    • Defect investigation and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of automotive system development processes and validation methodologies.
  • Experience with requirement-based testing approaches.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in:
    • Japanese (JLPT N2 or above), or
    • Business-level English
  • Willingness to work onsite in the Tsukuba or Shinagawa area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in ADAS, autonomous driving systems, camera systems, radar systems, ECU validation, or automotive embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication technologies such as:
    • CAN / CAN FD
    • LIN
    • Automotive Ethernet
  • Hands-on experience with automotive validation tools, including:
    • CANoe
    • CANalyzer
    • Vector toolchain
    • dSPACE
  • Experience with automation or scripting using Python, CAPL, or Shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of ASPICE, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), or Automotive Cybersecurity.
