This Director role will lead the APAC evidence and market access strategy for innovative medical technologies in the surgical and interventional space. You will define regional reimbursement pathways, generate clinical and economic evidence, and work with national stakeholders to accelerate patient access across Japan, Korea, and wider APAC.

Our client is a global leader in minimally invasive and interventional medical technologies, with strong growth plans across APAC. Following recent launches in key markets, the company is now preparing for broader commercialization across Japan, Korea, and the wider region.

Job Description

As the first senior regional hire, you will:

  • Set the APAC evidence & access strategy
    • Create a 3-5 year roadmap linking evidence generation with reimbursement and adoption milestones across priority APAC markets.
  • Design and deliver impactful evidence
    • Lead clinical, RWE, cost‑effectiveness, and economic studies relevant to payers, HTA bodies, hospitals, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Translate evidence into value stories
    • Build localized value dossiers, tools, and payer‑focused materials to support funding and adoption decisions.
  • Develop reimbursement & access pathways
    • Map and execute market‑specific access routes, including HTA submissions, innovation funding, coding, and hospital funding frameworks.
  • Shape the external environment
    • Build senior relationships with societies, HTA agencies, payers, and hospital decision‑makers across APAC.
  • Lead regional vendors and budgets
    • Manage HEOR/HTA partners, CROs, and data vendors while directing budgets toward high‑ROI access initiatives.



Location: Flexible within Asia (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore)

Work Style: Hybrid with travel across APAC

The Successful Applicant

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, public health, health economics, or similar
  • 10+ years' experience in evidence generation, HEOR, and/or market access for medical devices or interventional technologies
  • Demonstrated success in reimbursement or funding outcomes across APAC
  • Strong understanding of APAC payer/H TA systems and hospital financing
  • Hands‑on individual contributor able to lead in a matrix environment
  • Excellent English; proficiency in Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin preferred
