About Our Client

A leading non-profit organization is hiring for a Deputy Director to integrate multidisciplinary research across policy, regulatory, technical and social domains to inform strategic policy and infrastructure decision-making.

Job Description

  • Lead the integration of research findings pertaining to nuclear engineering & safety into evidence-based policy recommendations, strategic assessments and decision-support materials.
  • Identify emerging trends, risks, opportunities and knowledge gaps through horizon scanning, strategic analysis and foresight activities.
  • Oversee research on governance frameworks, regulation, safety, infrastructure planning, technology developments and stakeholder engagement.
  • Direct scenario planning and long-term strategic studies to inform policy and national-level decision-making.
  • Guide research on public perceptions and stakeholder sentiment, translating insights into effective policy and communications strategies.
  • Provide thought leadership and ensure high-quality, impactful research outputs with strong policy relevance.
  • Build, mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams, strengthening organisational capabilities and research excellence.
  • Advise senior government and institutional stakeholders on strategic policy matters and complex research findings.
  • Foster partnerships with local and international research institutions, industry experts and key stakeholders.
  • Represent the organisation at high-level forums, conferences and strategic engagements.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through publications, presentations and stakeholder outreach initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Postgraduate qualification in Nuclear engineering, energy or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in nuclear engineering, regulation, policy
  • Operational experience in nuclear power plant projects is highly advantageous
