Our client is a technology‑driventechnology‑driven buy‑sidebuy‑side investment firm operating in quantitative and alternative strategies. Based in Tokyo, the firm has a highly international team and conducts all daily business and engineering communication in English.

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain high‑performancehigh‑performance C++ applications for Order and Execution Management Systems (OEMSOEMS) and Portfolio Management Systems (PMS)
  • Work closely with traders, quantitative analysts, and engineers in an English‑speakingEnglish‑speaking environment
  • Design, implement, and test new features for trading and portfolio platforms
  • Optimise existing code for performance, scalabilityscalability, and reliability
  • Troubleshoot and debug production issues to ensure system stability
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of professional C++ development experience with strong object‑orientedobject‑oriented design skills
  • Experience with OEMSOEMS, PMS, or trading‑relatedtrading‑related systems is highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, trading workflows, and protocols such as FIX
  • Familiarity with databases, data structures, and modern development tools
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solvingproblem‑solving skills
  • Business‑levelBusiness‑level English proficiency required
  • No Japanese language skills required - English‑onlyEnglish‑only environment
  • Interest in financial markets and quantitative investment strategies
