Job Description

  • Design, develop, test, and operate Java-based payment applications and APIs
  • Build and improve micro services architecture for scalability and maintainability
  • Analyse performance bottlenecks and implement optimisation solutions
  • Ensure high standards of security, reliability, and system resilience
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product and project managers
  • Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose improvements

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong experience in Java and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience designing and developing REST APIs
  • Knowledge of micro services architecture
  • Familiarity with Git and Agile development practices
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimisation
  • Understanding of security best practices



Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with AWS or cloud platforms
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with monitoring and distributed tracing tools
  • Familiarity with AI coding assistants (e.g., Copilot)
  • Experience in e-commerce platforms
