Our client is a global asset management firm with a strong presence in Japan, operating sophisticated data platforms that support investment, portfolio, and market analytics across multiple regions.

Job Description

  • Manage incoming data files and monitor daily ETL batch processes
  • Identify and respond to operational issues and ensure smooth data pipelines
  • Maintain and improve data quality, consistency, and integrity
  • Monitor system events and take timely action when necessary
  • Perform data operations via data warehouse GUI tools (load monitoring, exception handling, master data management, user access administration)
  • Support ongoing data-related projects, including documentation
  • Review and modify SQL and Python code where needed
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment across systems and processes



The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of foundational IT experience (Windows environment)
  • 3+ years of experience in data operations, database management, and SQL
  • Practical experience with data warehousing; EDM/MDM tools are a plus
  • Knowledge of financial services data (funds, accounts, portfolios) preferred
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills; Python is an advantage
  • Interest or exposure to generative AI technologies is a plus
  • Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English
  • Quick learner with strong problem-solving ability
  • Able to work independently while following structured processes
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and detail-oriented
