Our client is a large multinational e-commerce and digital services group operating one of Japan's most established online marketplace platforms. The organization is technology-driven, with strong investment in scalable systems that support both consumers and business partners.

Job Description

  • Develop and operate consumer-facing web services using modern front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Participate in system design, development, testing, and release across multiple projects
  • Improve front-end performance, quality, and maintainability
  • Handle operational tasks including inquiries, investigation, and issue resolution from consumers and merchants
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global teams using English as the working language
  • Create design documents, test cases, and technical documentation
  • Implement and maintain unit and integration tests throughout the development lifecycle



The Successful Applicant

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of front-end development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Hands-on experience with React.js and/or Node.js
  • Solid understanding of front-end performance optimization
  • Working knowledge of web security fundamentals
  • Experience in system design and technical documentation
  • Experience with unit testing and integration testing
  • Business-level English communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using ESLint
  • JavaScript unit testing experience (Jest, Intern, WDIO, etc.)
  • Ability to design front-end architecture
  • Experience in system operations, investigation, and improvement
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues and drive solutions independently
