This role leads the design and development of backend systems powering large-scale mobility services, including booking platforms and APIs. You will drive technical decisions across the full development lifecycle while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Our client is a leading global internet services company with a strong presence in travel and e-commerce platforms. Their mobility division builds high-traffic digital services for transportation bookings and integrations used by millions of users.

Job Description

  • Lead system design based on defined requirements and architecture reviews
  • Develop and maintain web applications and APIs for mobility services
  • Collaborate with product managers and internal platform teams (payments, user, points, etc.)
  • Execute full development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, and optimization
  • Conduct unit, integration, performance, and security testing
  • Perform performance tuning across Java, SQL, and database layers
  • Monitor production systems, respond to alerts, and resolve user-reported issues
  • Enhance system scalability, reliability, and maintainability



The Successful Applicant

  • Ability to independently solve complex technical challenges
  • 7+ years of Java web application development
  • 5+ years with Spring Framework and ORM tools (e.g., JPA)
  • 7+ years working with MySQL or Oracle databases
  • Experience with Apache/Nginx and application servers (e.g., Tomcat)
  • Experience with Redis or MongoDB
  • Proven expertise in Java/SQL/DB performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Ansible
  • Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems
  • Strong experience in unit testing (e.g., JUnit)
  • Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, SSL)
  • English: conversational level (approx. TOEIC 600+)

Preferred Skills

  • TypeScript, React, or Node.js experience
  • E2E test automation (e.g., Playwright)
  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Grafana, SonarQube
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools
