Job Description

  • Lead strategic intelligence and due diligence engagements for investment and corporate clients
  • Define project strategy, research frameworks, and client deliverables
  • Oversee intelligence gathering via expert networks and human-source insights
  • Analyze commercial, regulatory, political, and reputational risks
  • Produce and review high-quality written reports for senior stakeholders
  • Present findings and recommendations directly to clients
  • Manage client relationships throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants and analysts
  • Support the growth and operational development of the Tokyo office
  • Contribute to knowledge building and network development in Japan

The Successful Applicant

  • ~5+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, intelligence, or related advisory fields
  • Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written communication, with experience producing structured reports
  • Confident in client-facing presentations and discussions
  • Strong commercial judgement and analytical thinking
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members is advantageous
  • Interest in investigative research and human intelligence gathering
  • Knowledge of the Japan market and business environment preferred
  • Fluent English required; Japanese language skills are beneficial but not essential
