Job Description

  • Design, build, and maintain Java‑based backend systems, REST APIs, and microservices.
  • Improve performance and code quality through refactoring, tuning, and best‑practice engineering.
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and participate in code reviews, CI/CD, and Agile workflows.
  • Communicate requirements, progress, and technical decisions effectively in Japanese.

The Successful Applicant

  • Brings solid hands‑on experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot (4+ years) and modern backend development practices.
  • Communicates confidently in Japanese and collaborates effectively in a multicultural engineering environment.
  • Demonstrates strong problem‑solving skills, ownership, and a proactive approach to improving systems and code quality.
