To accelerate the development of AIA(Advanced Informatic Analytics), and to grow team.
The Senior Manager, Real World Evidences is responsible for providing statistical expertise for economic, epidemiology and clinical outcomes projects using real-world databases (e.g, EMR, claims, etc.) across our company entire value chain and therapeutic areas. This opsition will lead a group of Programmers and Analysts based in Japan, and work closely with the RWE Director to execute large and/or complex projects, interact with cross functional teams, and be accountable for the statistical soundness of all project plans, output and deliverables for the assigned projects. The Senior Manager will also work on study teams responsible for conducting Medical Affairs studies using real-world databases.
・ Provide leadership, supervision and management of a team of Analysts and Programmers based in Japan.
・ Provide analytic and methodological oversight to medical affairs analytic projects along with study execution, ensuring they are performed in accordance with good statistical practice and applicable regulatory guidelines.
・ Implement studies, defining endpoints, executing protocols with data programming, and conducting statistical analyses using SAS, R, SQL and other programs
・ Support the RWE Director by providing statistical expertise for all RWE projects as requested
・ Provide oversight or input for RWE projects/initiatives, protocol development, regulatory documents, scientific publications, and independent research proposals across multiple teams in all therapeutic areas for both in-line and development projects across multiple functions
・ Execute multiple simultaneous RWE projects, including but not limited to, data generation in health economic, comparative effectiveness, real world data, disease state and epidemiologic studies across therapeutic areas
・ Act as a project leader for selected projects assigned to the RWE analytics team and interact closely with other RWE team members during the execution of projects
・ Collaborate closely with other Analytics Leaders across RWDE to implement our company RWE statistical processes and governance for database utilization, programming, and reporting actitivities
・ Ensure team members have a robust understanding of statistical methodology and study design in economic, epidemiology and outcomes research
【Qualifications/Requirements and Skills】
Master/PhD Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Mathematics, or Computer Science and at least 1 ~ 2 years relevant programming experience
Bachelors and 2 ~ 3 years relevant programming experience
・ SAS programming skills (1~3 years)
・ Understanding of SAS analytic tools (SAS/BASE, SAS/STAT, and SAS/GRAPH)
・ At least 1 year SQL programming skill
・ 1~3 years experience in administrative claims database and EMR databases such as JMDC, MDV, Meditrend, etc.
・ Business level English (able to participate in teleconferences, read/write in English; TOEIC 750 or more
・ Native or advanced level Japanese fluency (Passed Japanese Proficiency Test Level N1)
・ Team player with good communication skills
・ Has published studies using RWD
・ Has experience working in pharmaceutical industry
・ Knowledge of coding against common real-world data types (claims and EMR) and common data models
・ Experience in health analytics and/or post graduate quant / stats & coding experience

Base salary: will be decided by the candidate's experience, skill and capability.
When Discretionary Work System is applied: Discretionary work allowance will be paid.(50,000〜100,000yen, based on the Grade)
When Flex-time System is applied: Overtime allowance will be paid for time worked in excess of prescribed working hours.
