The position will manage all Japan sales activities including new and existing customers in various industries such as energy, chemical, food & beverage, marine, shipbuilding, data center, and others. This position will work independently in Japan and report to the overseas head of sales.

Job Description

  • Develop and manage the go-to-market strategy and coordinate with regional and global leaders.
  • Manage the sales budget and pipeline growth, drive order intake and strategic plans.
  • Work with technical and marketing teams to create a strong branding strategy.
  • Focus on Japan and various industries to drive orders, margins, market share, and relationships.
  • Regularly visit potential customers and build a customer database.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships based on the strategic sales plan.
  • Negotiate technically and commercially with customers.
  • Understand the key business drivers and customers' opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience in industrial markets
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is an advantage
  • Good communication skills in English and Japanese to work with Japanese customers and global teams
  • Good work experience with customers and partners as an engineer or sales or business development professional
  • Eligible to work in Japan
