Job Description

About the Role:The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of IT-related projects within the organization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, organizational skills, and leadership qualities to guide projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budget constraints, and project goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Initiation:
    • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Develop a detailed project plan, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks.
    • Establish communication plans and reporting procedures.
  • Project Execution and Monitoring:
    • Manage and lead the project team, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
    • Manage project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
    • Track project progress against the plan and adjust resources and timelines as needed.
  • Project Completion and Closure:
    • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting all technical and functional requirements.
    • Evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Document lessons learned and share best practices with the team.
    • Close out the project formally, obtaining sign-off from stakeholders.



The Successful Applicant

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an IT Project Manager or related role.
  • Japanese speaking capabilities
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
  • In-depth knowledge of software development
  • PMP or PRINCE2 or Scrum certification (a plus).
