About Our Client
Our client is one of the top players in the food and beverage industry. They have a strong presence in Japan with 2 factories and now planning to expand and open one distribution center in Kanto area. They are now in search of a talented S&OP Manager or Senior Manager to lead the design and implementation of Japan's S&OP processes.
Job Description
- Support the development and refinement of the long-term aggregate demand plan (24 month) in collaboration with account and category managers.
- Support the optimization of short and long term supply plans in collaboration with local planning teams: long term capacity planning (4-12 months), production planning/scheduling (1-12 weeks); raw material planning (12-24 months).
- Collaborate and align with sales and category management on demand plan assumptions; root cause analysis of forecast deviations and actions to improve accuracy; actions to close gaps to budget.
- Develops Risk - Opportunity and Demand - Supply gap assessment, escalation, and mitigation process to support margin maximization
- Lead the key S&OP meetings (Demand, Supply, Executive) to gain cross-functional consensus on the long-term demand and supply plans with emphasis on risks/opportunities and action items for risk mitigation and growth.
- Document and communicate key actions and decisions to drive organizational alignment around the monthly demand and supply plans.
- Leads all initiatives to improve the efficiency of the demand and supply planning processes
The Successful Applicant
- Proficient in data analysis and business intelligence
- Experience identifying and closing gaps by applying strong analytical and problem‐solving capabilities; including the ability to clearly define problems, collect data from a variety of sources, establish facts, draw valid/profitable conclusions, and make effective recommendations to leadership
- Ability to be both a team player and a leader, focused on building strong cross-functional relationships
- English language speaking and writing required
- Global end-to-end supply chain and S&OP/IBP process knowledge
