With 1500 employees across Japan, the company is reorganising structurally and this position will be integral to that change.

Job Description

  • provide solutions for people and organisation-related issues
  • stakeholder management
  • provide HR advice and consultation
  • work closely with line managers and provide HR support including coaching to solve day-to-day management queries
  • control workforce and personnel costs in line with the business plan
  • manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
  • improve morale and reduce compliance risks by being proactive and engaging with employees across the business
  • promote delivery of HR policies and processes
  • improve employee engagement to improve the work environment and increase the retention rate
  • identify training needs and develop programs to meet those needs
  • people management of 2/3 subordinates

The Successful Applicant

  • experience in planning and implementing HR programs
  • experience in handling labour issues with understanding of Japanese labour laws
  • wide knowledge across various R functions
  • strong communication skills, both speaking and writing in English and Japanese
  • team player
  • has the mindset of enjoying changes and positively impacting people in the company
  • well-developed PC skills for data analysis and presentations
  • knowledge and interest in fashion business is a plus
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • strong business acumen
