Job Description

  • Oversee general accounting activities, including month-end and year-end closings.
  • Prepare and analyze accurate financial reports to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement process optimization initiatives for efficiency improvements.
  • Manage and mentor the whole department, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address financial queries and requirements.
  • Directly report to the COO, being involved in the strategic direction of the company.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Act as a key liaison for audits and other financial assessments.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Finance & Accounting Manager should have:

  • Proficiency in both Japanese and English on a business level for effective communication.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong background in team management.
  • Solid expertise in general accounting practices, including financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end closings.
  • A proactive approach to process optimization and problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls and regulatory compliance.
