Job Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines using Kafka from relational and NoSQL data sources.
  • Implement large-scale data processing and transformation using Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala) on GCP.
  • Develop analytical data models and optimized SQL for reporting and analytics in BigQuery, ensuring data quality and performance.
  • Monitor, optimize, and operate data pipelines with a focus on reliability, scalability, CI/CD, and cost efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Data Engineer should have:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer building large-scale data pipelines using Kafka and Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala).
  • Strong hands-on expertise with GCP, particularly BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, and cloud-based data architectures.
  • Excellent SQL skills with solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics-ready datasets.
  • Engineering mindset with experience in CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and Git-based development, ensuring data quality and reliability.
