The Sales Manager, reporting to the Sales Director Asia, manages an established account base and develops new accounts in the Industrial markets. The role focuses on achieving order intake targets, building a sales funnel through strategic planning, understanding the market, and proactively exploring new business opportunities while addressing customer issues and ensuring business growth.
  • The role offers remote and flexibility anywhere in Japan
  • The role will have full responsibility for Japan sales activities

About Our Client

The Company has been selling to Japan market through both OEM and distributor channels. While they do not have a large operation in Japan, they are looking to further grow sales and develop strategic key accounts for the group.

Job Description

  • Drive business development and sales initiatives for Japan market
  • Create and implement sales initiatives aligned with the regional sales leadership team
  • Increase business among existing clients and promote the business to key accounts
  • Provide the leadership team with market trends and competition information to evaluate new opportunities
  • Address customers' inquiries and coordinate on quality topics to improve customer's satisfaction
  • Identify customer needs and relate them to new solutions and services
  • Coordinate with technical and regional teams to provide faster response and support to key accounts

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor degree in any field. Mechanical engineering would be an advantage but not a must
  • Previous experience in the Industrial field as sales, business development or field engineers
  • Good communication in English and Japanese
  • Ability to work independently to manage sales and customers
  • Valid working visa in Japan
