Application Security for a leading life insurance company based in Tokyo. You will play a critical role performing technical security assessments and translate the threat landscape into concrete improvement plans and recommendations. Unique as you can work in both red and blue team.
  • Almost Full remote (1-2 days/week office during probation)

Job Description

As part of the Cyber Security team you will contribute to its effectiveness. Performing technical security assessments and translate the threat landscape into concrete improvement plans and recommendations. You will be able to automate various security processes by scripting, using various automation tools and building new security systems. Ocassionally, you will be involved as a security advisor in projects and awareness activities.



  • Drive secure app delivery across the full SDLC


  • Lead security projects aligned with the global Cyber Resilience roadmap


  • Integrate SAST/DAST tools into CI/CD pipelines


  • Collaborate with Dev, Ops, and global IT security teams


  • Define and maintain security standards and architecture


  • Communicate risks & conduct internal security training



Ideal for engineers passionate about AppSec, DevSecOps, and working in a global enterprise environment.

The Successful Applicant

MUST
✔️ Experience in Cybersecurity (Red or Blue team experience welcome!)
✔️ Business-level Japanese & fluent English (including conversation - not just reading/writing!)
✔️ Open for conversational Japanese if you have experiece in Application Security

*Positive attitude, responsive, persistent and able to prioritize tasks by oneself. Ability to proactively propose ideas to stakeholders.
