PT-D Finance Development
■Roles and Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this role are:
●Creates an environment of ethical business practices and is a role model for high integrity behavior in a financial role.
●Provides all stakeholders with accurate, timely financial information to support decision-making effectively highlighting risks and opportunities, a global view of operations, financial reporting, and enabling compliance with policies, regulations, and laws.
●Supports fiscal transparency and a strong business controls environment.
●Leads creation of budgets and forecasts for PT-D on statutory and management reporting bases. "Hands on" leadership and participation in the development of financial plans is often necessary.
●Primary liaison with Corporate FP&A on financial issues and assumptions for PT-D results, budget, and forecasts.
●Actively participates in transformation projects in PT-D, supporting design and implementation work.
●Generates strategies for productivity and operational excellence initiatives for Finance and leads in the implementation
●Oversees and participates in reporting and analysis of PT-D worldwide operations, using information provided from teammates supporting the business throughout the world.
●Conceptualizes ad-hoc analyses required by the business and guides work of direct reports to deliver them.
●Oversees month-end close activities including journal entries (accruals, re-class, and amortization). Maintains compliance with GAAP/IFRS, J-SOX, and other regulatory requirements.
●Brings leadership, ideas, and energy to the broader R&D Finance team and PT-D leadership team.
●Supports staff development and other activities that attract and retain top talent for the company.
●Other such duties as may be reasonably required by the business.
œUndergraduate degree with emphasis in Finance or Accounting or Life Sciences undergraduate / MBA combination
