About Our Client

This client is a US based company making real-time data solutions to increase operational intelligence. Their main product is the PI System: a data management platform for industrial operations. They have around 30 employees in their office in Shinjuku. Currently they are looking for a Pre-Sales Manager to run their team of 8 people and collaborate with the APAC team to streamline the business.

Job Description

  • Manage, develop and recruit pre-sales engineers in Japan
  • Ensure the overall sales process and metrics are in place and followed
  • Collaborate with other teams in Japan and APAC to understand the market, clients and competitors better and strategize for refining the sales approach and value proposition
  • Work with the engineering team on complex technical sales demonstrations and ensure that the company can deliver on the requirements of the customer
  • Develop key relationships with customers and partners, possibly by travelling (after COVID-19).

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience with pre-sales or sales management
  • Track record in new product / market environment
  • Previous experience with operational intelligence or PI Systems would be a plus
  • Good communication skills, with native level Japanese and business level English
