Job Description

  • Develop, test and maintain scalable and robust PHP-based web applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and project managers to define and implement new features.
  • Write clean, well-documented and efficient code following team's internal standards as well as industry best practices.
  • Debug and resolve application issues and bottlenecks to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain end-to-end product quality and share knowledge with team members.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and tools as needed to extend application functionality.
  • Contribute to overall end-to-end product architecture and design (including databases such as MySQL, MariaDB or MongoDB).
  • Assist in refactoring and modernizing projects as well as legacy code-bases.
  • Stay up to date on emerging PHP, VueJS and Laravel trends and technologies and propose their adoption where applicable.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for internal as well as external users.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in PHP development or other programming language which can transfer to PHP.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of solid experience with VueJS, ReactJS or any other front-end framework.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter).
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript or Typescript.
  • Solid experience with relational databases (MySQL or MariaDB, or PostgreSQL).
  • Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API development.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
