A leading global player in renewable energy, this company develops, builds, and operates clean energy power plants in over 20 countries for both itself and third parties. Its primary focus is on wind and solar photovoltaic power, with significant operations in Europe and North America and expanding activities in emerging regions such as Brazil, China, India, South Africa, and the Middle East. The company also holds strong positions in offshore wind power and other renewable energy sectors like energy storage. As a subsidiary of a larger group, it contributes to the group's goal of doubling renewable capacity to 50 GW by 2030, as part of the strategic project.

Job Description

  • Oversee technical studies for offshore projects
  • Coordinate and lead commercial, engineering and other teams from the initiation of project development through to the Final Investment Decision (FID), with potential continuation into the later construction stages
  • Ensure project technical requirements are met throughout all project phases
  • Define and monitor project inputs for the financial model
  • Validate technical documentation for existing and prospective contracts, and participate in the review of associated contractual documents
  • Ensure progress of the technical aspects of the project and prepare necessary documentation for critical milestones
  • Manage interfaces between various technical work packages (WTG, foundation, O&M, HSE)
  • Identify technical and economic risks associated with the project

The Successful Applicant

  • Over 5 years of experience managing and delivering medium to large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally in wind energy, with a focus on offshore wind development
  • Over 5 years of experience leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability to balance conflicting demands on quality, cost, and time
  • Proven skill in persuading, challenging, and building credibility at all levels and across business functions
  • Proactive and responsible in handling a wide range of issues
  • Effective leader and integrator who builds strong relationships, influences, and collaborates inclusively and respectfully
  • Proficiency in native-level Japanese and business-level English
