The HR Director, North Asia, will lead the human resources function for the region, including Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea. The role will focus on talent management, employee relations, training, C&B, performance management, and post-merger integration.

The employer is a U.S. manufacturing company with nearly 100 years of history. Currently, the business is experiencing strong and steady growth in the Asia region. The North Asia business is primarily focused on Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea, with factories, R&D, and sales teams, and approximately 300 employees.

職務内容

1.Develop and implement HR strategies that align with group goals while addressing the specific needs of North Asia, including talent acquisition, organizational design, and workforce planning.
2.Oversee recruitment and talent acquisition efforts in Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea, ensuring that the company attracts and retains talent across all levels.
3.Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with local labor laws in each country and fostering a positive work environment.
4.Lead employee engagement initiatives to promote retention, employee satisfaction, and organizational culture alignment.
5.Work closely with corporate HR and regional leadership to ensure a smooth transition for employees and to optimize business performance post-acquisition.
6.Collaborate with the global compensation team to design competitive compensation and benefits packages that align with market practices in Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea.
7.Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations, tax laws, and social security requirements across the region.
8.Oversee the implementation of the performance management system, ensuring that employee's goals align with the company's strategic objectives and that performance is managed effectively across the region.
9.Oversee the administrative functions within the region, including office management, facility operations, and vendor relationships, to ensure smooth business operations.

理想の人材

1.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) preferred.
2.10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the North Asia region (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan).
3.Experience in the manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
4.Proven experience in handling HR aspects of post-merger integration and organizational restructuring.
5.Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance across Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.
6.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural, multinational environment.
7.Fluency in Japanese, English, and Mandarin is required.
8.Experience working in a U.S.-based company or multinational corporation.
