About Our Client
Our client is a top-ranked American electronics company that has been in the Japan market for over 30 years. They cover a wide variety of customers such as consumer, automotive, health care and music entertainment. There are around 150 people in their Japan office (globally around 7,000 staff) and 8 people in their supply chain team.
Job Description
- Manage export/import of shipments and logistics for automotive parts and other goods in time dealing with 3rd party logistics service providers
- Manage 3rd party warehouses for supply chain operations and processes and payments
- Manage inventory kept at 3rd party warehouses to achieve target of Days of forward coverage
- Handle trade compliance issues or inquiry
- Collaborate with internal and external parties for lean and kaizen activities on logistics and warehouse operations
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree
- Over 5 years of work experience and knowledge in the supply chain planning and purchasing in automotive industry or related manufacturing industries
- Experience in overall domestic and international logistics operation
- Leadership ability, self-starter, cross-functional communication skill
- Fluency in Japanese and English
