About Our Client

Our client, a prestigious and historic British school in the education industry, is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing and Admissions. This role entails providing strategic leadership for all marketing and admissions initiatives. Collaborating closely with departmental managers and the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Marketing and Admissions oversees the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and admissions plans. Additionally, this role is required to ensure the smooth operation of school events to high standards and lead external communications to uphold the school's positive reputation, among other responsibilities.

Job Description

Admissions

  • Ensure adherence to school and group recruitment policies in all admissions procedures
  • Develop and execute strategic admissions plans based on market research and analysis to meet enrolment targets
  • Manage end-to-end admissions process for parents and students, including administrative systems, CRM, tours, and meetings
  • Maintain relationships with recruitment channels and provide regular updates on admissions performance
  • Lead and supervise Admissions staff to ensure efficient departmental operations and policy adherence
  • Monitor student departures, conduct exit surveys, and maintain links with departing families for data analysis and improvement



Marketing/Branding

  • Develop and review comprehensive marketing strategies across various media channels
  • Cultivate media coverage and profile with key influencers, ensuring alignment with branding guidelines
  • Proactively promote the school through innovative marketing initiatives and events
  • Ensure effective representation of the school in all official documentation and identify new regional markets for expansion
  • Utilize marketing campaigns, regional agents, and events to enhance visibility and reach new markets
  • Maintain an engaging and informative school website, leveraging it as a recruitment tool
  • Promote the school's boarding provision, recruit students from diverse backgrounds, and analyze feedback for improvement
  • Lead event planning, manage budgets, engage with parents and the community, and undertake market analysis and business development

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred
  • Fluency in English and either Japanese or Chinese required
  • Preferably 15+ years of experience in the education industry
  • Understanding of the global and Japanese international school market, with a focus on British education and boarding
  • Proficiency in digital and social media marketing
  • Strong skills in project and people management, including recruitment and mentorship
  • Culturally aware, with an international mindset
  • Willingness to integrate into a vibrant boarding community, participating in all school activities
  • Effective leadership and communication abilities, with a talent for networking and representing the school
  • Competency in data analysis to inform marketing strategies
  • Outstanding organizational skills, creativity, and ability to work under pressure
  • Exceptional time management, problem-solving, and attention to detail
