Job Description

  • Develop Category Management Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive category management strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Channel Management: Oversee the development and implementation of channel-specific category management plans for key retail partners, including pharmacies, supermarkets, and online platforms.
  • Promotional Campaigns: Lead the planning and execution of promotional campaigns, trade shows, and other initiatives to drive category growth, visibility, and sales.
  • Trade Spend Optimization: Manage category spend budgets effectively, ensuring maximum ROI and alignment with sales targets.
  • Retailer Relationships: Build and nurture strong relationships with key retail partners to drive mutual growth and collaboration.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify opportunities and threats in the category.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the category management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of category management initiatives.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs and metrics to track the effectiveness of category management activities, and regularly report on performance to senior management.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15 years of experience in category management, preferably in the consumer healthcare or FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful category management strategies that drive business results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite; experience with category management tools and software is a plus.
