Job Description

Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects for financial and consumer finance institutions, ranging from large to small scale.

Manage overall project tracking, scheduling, quality, cost, and report progress to stakeholders.

Responsible for communication with different stakeholders - Business Users, Client IT and operation team, Vendor staff & development team.

Review and prepare project documentation throughout the project life-cycle, and conduct walkthroughs with users/clients.

Understand technical and functional aspects of projects and secure necessary approvals from customers at different levels during the project life-cycle.

Create and share project reports and weekly status updates with different teams.

Gain deep understanding of the customer's business and align project activities with their road map to build trust and long-term relationships.

The Successful Applicant

Experience in project management (Project Manager or Project Lead roles accepted).

Experience with the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and managing large to medium-sized IT development projects.

Skilled in creating documentation, reviewing project artifacts, and project deliverables.

Experience working as a PM or PL in an IT department of a Japanese company (preferably in the financial sector, but not mandatory).

Strong Japanese communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at various levels.

Solid project management skills to handle scope, timelines, resources, milestones, and quality.

Proficient in process management and documentation tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
