This role is a Data Engineer position responsible for building and maintaining DOMO reports by processing Couchbase data into RDB, reviewing queries, debugging issues, and supporting releases. Job Description

  • Build and maintain reports by transforming large‑scale data into RDB structures and developing ETL workflows based on user requirements.
  • Review SQL queries for accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with system specifications.
  • Investigate and resolve data or report issues through debugging, testing, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Support system testing, release activities, and continuous improvements within the reporting environment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Engineer should have:

  • Strong experience with relational databases and SQL (7+ years), plus hands‑on Python skills for building, debugging, and maintaining data workflows.
  • Ability to create and optimize ETL pipelines and reports, ideally with DOMO and experience working with document‑based databases like Couchbase.
  • Solid problem‑solving skills, capable of investigating data issues, reviewing query logic, and supporting testing and release cycles.
  • Business‑level communication skills in English and Japanese and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross‑functional environment.
