About Our Client
Our client provides portfolio reconciliation for OTC derivatives across various products (short-term FX, rates, energy/credit swaps, options etc.) They work with the largest securities firms in the world and are a market leader in providing reconciliation strategies.
-Liaison with Sales, Business Management in order to identify any product or client issue. Meetings or calls may be held with clients, as required. Overseas travel to client site with Sales may be required occasionally.
-Part of the client manager team in Singapore (Asian HQ) and work as a team member
-Support mainly but not always Japanese speaking clients in Japanese language with respect to trade data file handling like data formats, field translations, and the associated error messages and warnings generated by the secured website.
-Working with derivatives portfolio risk tolerances. Discussion with clients in order to provide the best settings
-Any feedback from the clients will be handled by the Client Manager together with an escalation point within Sales and Business Management where appropriate
-Attend weekly global conference call as required in European day time
-Assist Sales to on-board new clients by providing training over the web or on-site
-Manage and run ad-hoc project individually or collectively to develop new product or extract business intelligence from data mining
-Exception handling - the Client Manager is responsible for escalating internally that an exceptional situation has arisen e.g. whenever the commercial or long-term relationship with a client is at issue
The Successful Applicant
-Client liaison and relationship management - The ability to represent the firm professionally to its clients, and gain their confidence and trust with good inter-personal and communication skills
-Recent graduate with up to 5 years of work experience
-Banking and Finance - Knowledge of OTC derivatives, ideally interest rate or credit derivatives. Thorough understanding of the trade data fields of these instruments as well as awareness of the OTC derivative trade processing lifecycle. An understanding of basic market and credit risk management of OTC derivatives, such as yield curves and valuation would be advantageous.
-IT/Technical - Ideally good IT skills such as the ability to work fluently with trade data using Excel/VBA and SQL.
-Proficiency in English and Japanese language for business communication
-Knowledge in collateral management is preferred.
