About Our Client
Our client is a fortune 1000 multinational food manufacturer. Originated in the USA, they have been operating their business since the 19th century. They now have 8000+ employees worldwide and still recruiting. With Japan market being one of their focal point. They are welcoming a skillful Business Development Manager to join their APAC team.
Develop business plans to capture market opportunities and grow profitability. Within food service and industrial category sectors, present business proposals to internal key stakeholders; which will include the identification of opportunities, analysis of competitive trends and strategies to achieve growth target;
Establishing long-term strong commercial relationships with existing and new customer's stakeholders including their technology leadership advantage that result in increased sales and margins;
Proactively identify new product solutions or adaptations that secure business growth, and provide insights to internal commercial, supply chain and product development teams to facilitate collaboration on business proposals and product development execution;
Lead business presentation to customers in Japan and actively participate in product development and S&OP activities by acting as primary technical contact between customer and internal teams to ensure that product quality and specification meet customer's requirements and the strategic purchasing, material requirements planning and inventory control are co-ordinated efficiently & effectively between Japan and other regions;
Provide monthly activity report and other regular reports as required.
The Successful Applicant
Min 7 years in sales function in the food industry
Track record of successful business and market growth execution
Pro-active team player with well-developed business partnership and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent presentation & written communication skills and able to explain complex technical information that can be easily understood
Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work effectively across all cultures and levels;
Able to travel up to 25% annually
Fluent in English and Japanese
